Blue Lagoon is the bay beside Padangbai harbour, across the Tanjung Sari cape. The coastal reef is shallow, then there is a short wall and a sand slope. Several routes sit in the same bay, from a warm-up dive to a deeper line. The bay is also used at night.
Turtles, cuttlefish, moray eels, frogfish, and ghost pipefish are here, with juvenile fish that arrive in season. Sharks sometimes pass. The map depth is about 5–25 m, and some routes are listed to about 30 m. The current is usually light, and sometimes noticeable. Visibility is often 10–30 m. Entry is by boat, only a few minutes from the beach.
