Boulders, Komodo

Komodo

Boulders is on Nusa Kode, where the bay widens. The dive starts in a soft-coral forest at 30–35 m, on dark sand. On the way up to the rocks, this is the best place in Loh Dasami for fire urchins and Coleman shrimp.

The rocks themselves run from about 8 m to 30 m, with coral, small animals, and fish. Manta rays are often seen in this area. Enter about 100 m south of the point, then come up to 20 m with the reef on the left. A light is useful. Night is also good. Entry is by boat.
