Cauldron, Komodo

Komodo

The Cauldron is at the east end of the channel between the two Gili Lawa islands. It is shaped like a bowl: a curved drop-off. The fast Shotgun drift often delivers divers into open water here.

The depth is about 10–30 m. The animals are the same as the channel: reef sharks and, regularly, manta rays. The current is not a current you swim against. Entry is by boat.
