Deep Turbo is in open water northeast of Gili Trawangan, not on the beach edge. Mounds rise from the bottom. Around 30 m, the path between those mounds feels like a slow flight. The coral is among the densest in the Gili islands, with a large number of reef fish.
The depth is about 18–40 m, and the map says the current can be strong. Morning is better. Entry is by boat. This is for divers who are already comfortable with depth and with open water.
