Gaja Rock, also called Batu Gaja, is a sharp-edged rock formation in south Komodo. The dive stays in the calmer gap. Once you get too close to the rock, the water turns: down-currents and whirls.
What has been seen there includes a very large grouper, about 2 m, several turtles, rainbow runners, and a school of bumphead parrotfish. Seahorses and ghost pipefish are also reported among the rocks. The map lists about 10–30 m. Entry is by boat. The water is cold, like the other southern sites.
