Gili Mimpang, Padangbai, Bali

Padangbai, Bali

Gili Mimpang is a rock pinnacle off Padangbai, in the same group as Tepekong and Biaha. The water is cold and the current is strong. Go by boat, about 40 minutes from Padangbai.

A usual depth is about 25 m. Sharks are on the reef. Mola are more likely from July to October, as in the Nusa Penida channel, because of the cold water that rises. This is not a first-day dive.
