Nusa Kode, Komodo

Komodo

The southwest tip of Nusa Kode is full of large coral-covered boulders. Among those rocks are some of the largest reef fish in the park: very large potato cod and malabar grouper. Schools of red snapper are usually there.

Enter west of the small island, drop to about 10 m, then follow the ridge that juts south. The large fish are along that ridge. The ridge continues deeper. On a usual dive, stay around 10–30 m and do not chase the bottom. Entry is by boat.
