Ped is on the north coast, near SD Point, but the slope is steeper and becomes a wall. Barrel sponges, some taller than 2 m, stand on the cliff with whip corals and sea fans.
The depth is about 10–40 m, and the wall continues past recreational limits. Current can be slow or fast, depending on the tide. Entry is by boat. Agree a depth before the splash.
In the cold months, July to October, mola sometimes rise at this northern site. The more usual animals are barracuda, angelfish, and octopus on the wall.

They hunt on the wall and change colour as they move from coral to sponge.

Macro life
The wall is for the large animals. The small animals are in the cracks and on the hydroids. For macro photos, use a macro lens and a focus light.
Harlequin shrimp
They cling to hydroids and in wall cracks. This needs a still position.
Leaf scorpionfish
They cling to hydroids and in wall cracks. This needs a still position.
Thorny seahorse

An animal on this list is not guaranteed on every dive.
