Pink Beach, Komodo

Komodo

Pink Beach, Pantai Merah, is a fringing reef on the pinkish sand. From about 2–5 m the slope drops to 15–20 m. The current is light. Snorkelling from the beach is good, and a small rocky wall shows at low tide.

Clownfish are in the anemones. For a closer look: leaf scorpionfish, blue ribbon eels, crocodilefish, and nudibranchs. Night is also used for macro. Entry is by boat, or from the beach when the shore allows it.
