Rouw Island sits in the Auri group, Cenderawasih Bay. On the sand near the island there are P-38 Lightning wrecks from the war. The map point is −2.1536, 134.7413. This is not the nearby Auri or Matas pin: those are separate reefs.
Three aircraft sit at about 2–3 m, so snorkelling and freediving see them. One aircraft sits on a slope at about 12 m. The current is usually mild. Go by boat to the island. Do not take pieces from the aircraft.
