The ship in Sabang Bay is an iron tug, sunk in the 1960s. The hull is still in relatively good shape for its age. One dive is enough to swim the whole ship, from the sand line up to the deck. Go by boat on the east side of the island, in the harbour, not from the northwest dive beaches.
The depths written for this tug are not one figure. One account puts the bottom at 10 m and the top at 6 m. Another puts the ship at 14 m. Another puts the site at 15–20 m. The map here lists 37–60 m. That map figure is too deep for this harbour tug. Follow the boat briefing on the day. Current is usually light. The water is about 27–30°C. Visibility can run from 1 m to 25 m.
Hard coral covers the ship, and there is reef beside it. Nudibranchs are on the iron plates. Trevally pass over the structure. Scorpionfish, peacock mantis shrimp, ghost pipefish, pipefish, and large morays are in the shade. The iron edges are corroded and sharp. Do not enter the hull.
