Secret Garden is off Padar Island, and it is visited less often than the big sites in the strait. The dive starts on a gentle slope: coral, sand, then a small wall. In the shallows, coral bommies draw schools of reef fish. Deeper, dark soft coral covers part of the bottom.
What people look for here are the small animals: nudibranchs, ghost pipefish, frogfish, and cuttlefish. Mobula rays sometimes pass in the shallows, in a school. The depth follows the briefing that day. Entry is by boat. The water around Padar can be cooler than north Komodo.
