Shark Point is on the northwest coast of Gili Trawangan. A reef plateau becomes canyons and ridges parallel to the shore. Whitetip and blacktip reef sharks patrol the deeper part.
The depth is about 5–40 m. Green turtles often rest in the shallows, around 5–12 m, among the soft coral and bommies. The current is strong on some days, so the deep part is continued only when the day allows it.
On the same ground, deeper, a tug was sunk as an artificial reef. The Glenn Nusa page describes that wreck. A Shark Point dive often passes it when the depth and the gas allow it.
