Simon Reef is in open water north of Gili Meno. Several pinnacles rise from the sand, separated by corridors, and covered in barrel sponges, soft coral, and sea fans.
The depth is about 15–40 m. Eagle rays, bumphead parrotfish in season, and reef sharks sometimes pass. Pygmy seahorses are in the deeper cracks. Entry is by boat. The current and the depth make this a site for divers who are already experienced.
