Takat Malang is northeast of Gili Trawangan, past Simon Reef. Large mounds are separated by sandy corridors. Garden eels cover the bottom. Barracuda are in the water column.
On a good day, sharks and large rays are here too. The depth is about 20–40 m. The site is rarely visited because of where it sits and because of the depth. Entry is by boat.
