Temple Point, Menjangan and Pemuteran, Bali

Menjangan and Pemuteran, Bali

Temple Point is at the northeast tip of the island, below the coastal temples and a white Ganesha statue that is visible from the boat. The dive starts on a gentle sandy slope. To the west, that slope becomes a coral garden. To the east, the wall is steeper, with cracks and overhangs.

Blacktip and whitetip reef sharks are often on the east wall. The depth is about 6–30 m. The map lists a route of about 15–30 m, which is the steeper part. The current is light to moderate, most often from the southeast. On a choppy day the boat stays on the sloping side. Go by boat from northwest Bali. Snorkelling is only comfortable on the shallow western slope when the water is calm.
